Catholic Church Blames Hippies, Not Celibacy, for All That Kid-Molesting

The hippie made me do it. OK this was just over-the-top bizarre when I heard about this on the radio. I don’t know what made these disgusting, perverted “men of God” violate children, but I know you can’t blame the long-haired, anti-war teen who was smoking weed and listening to Jimi.

Maybe it’s the forced celibacy. Maybe pedophiles just flock to this occupation. I don’t know. But if you can’t find another cause other than The Age of Aquarius, you’re not looking hard enough.

There are real victims out there, lives completely ruined. Faith shattered. Some committed suicide. And all of this can be blamed on those dirty hippies and their free-loving ways?

Give me an f’n break. I’m tired of the cover-ups, the parish transfers, the pay offs, and most of all, the excuses.

Hardly anything surprises me anymore, but are you kidding me? A lot of these priests have not been convicted because the statute of limitations had expired when the charges came to light. This is what an archdiocese attorney had to say:

“Once they’re out, it’s up to civil authorities to deal with them on behalf of society. It’s really too much to ask the church to institute a prison system and no one could be forced to comply with it except voluntarily.”

Translation: Piss off. It’s no longer our problem.

Your priests abused innocent children. Is it really too much to ask to at least know where they are? According to the article, attorneys representing the abused can’t even find 80 of the priests. That is just ridiculous.

I’m tired of hearing the same story with these archdioceses – cover ups, paying people off, and playing musical pedophiles by allowing these priests to go to different parishes. And it’s not going away.

This whole subject pisses me off to no end. I believe in God and what these priests have done is incomprehensible. The impact is very real – drug abuse, prostitution. 13 suicides were linked to sex abuse cases in Belgium. Not only are they destroying their lives, they’re destroying the faith that could help them through this nightmare.

What makes me even more mad is that the Roman Catholic Church is a huge player in the pro-birth movement. They claim to be protecting the unborn, but what about those already here? Altar servers, parochial school students, young parishoners. They need protection from their predator priests dead set on shattering these childrens’ lives.

The Church needs to do a better job of keeping tabs on their disgusting defrocked priests. While they’re at it, they can turn over these predator priests to the authorities the minute they find out about their behavior. It’s the least they can do if they care for children at all.
