Abortion Provider Appreciation Day

March 10 is Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. NARAL states, “Abortion Provider Appreciation Day was established on the anniversary of the murder of Dr. Gunn to honor the medical professionals who continue to face a campaign of violence, vandalism, and intimidation.”
Dr. Gunn’s murder led to the passage of the FACE Act (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances). His death even inspired Marilyn Manson’s song, Get Your Gunn. He said “Gunn’s murder by ‘pro-life’ activists is ultimate hypocrisy.”

In light of the war on women legislation on the federal and state level, they should be appreciated. Doctors who provide abortions do so knowing the danger. If God forbid (yes, I went there) the pro-birth movement gets their way and abortion is again illegal, there is already a network of doctors who will go underground.

Thank you doctors for taking the risk to ensure safe abortions.

It’ll be a nice when the day comes that we no longer have a need for them . I’m sure they would agree too. But until that day comes we need the professionals who can prevent actions that would take both the life of the mother and the embryo or fetus.

I totally agree. Hillary Clinton’s statement that abortions should be safe, legal, and rare is my wish. That’s why the defunding of Planned Parenthood pisses me off so much. Lots of women get their birth control from there.

Yes, of course people who provide abortion services FOR A LIVING would be happy to learn that their services are no longer needed. Of course. You’re a genius!

Those professionals would be in law enforcement, arresting these sick fucks.

Um most abortion providers are OB-GYNs. It’s not like they wouldn’t be able to make a living.

      • Terrance H.

I doubt many deliver babies as often as kill them.

      • SpinnyLiberal

Not the point. You said, Yes, of course people who provide abortion services FOR A LIVING would be happy to learn that their services are no longer needed. I’m saying that they may very well be happy because it’s not like they can’t do other things OB-GYNs do – which is more than deliver babies.

      • Terrance H.

The reality is that abortion doctors make a living by killing babies. That’s a fact. What warrants the statement that they would be happy if the country reached a pointed where abortions were not needed? What’s the evidence for this? It’s pulled straight from the Looney-Tune book of liberal sayings. There is zip to support it.

I’m simply saying that when someone has been doing something for so long, why the hell would they want to quit and do something else? They do abortions; if they didn’t want to be doing them, they wouldn’t be.

And I’m aware of the role an OB-GYN plays. I’m also aware of the “Do No Harm” pledge. There goes that.

      • SpinnyLiberal

There’s no evidence they wouldn’t be either. People working at “something” for a long time doesn’t mean they like what they do.
Those in a career already can change focus and do other things within that career. Not all people stay static within their professions.

There is zero evidence and zero common sense to support lbwoodgate’s foolish, left-wad statement. None! There is, however, a bit of common sense which supports my theory that people do not merely wish to change jobs on a whim, or relearn that which they have already forgotten. If you’re ever been in the medical field, you’ll know what I mean. You don’t use it, you lose it. If you’re been practicing in a certain field of medicine for a long period of time, you’re not going to want to switch to a field which, overtime, has become quite foreign to you. I can speak only of the experience I have been privy to, of course. But it seems like gumption to me.

Everybody has an opinion on abortion……I am personally pro-life….but the decision is NONE of my business and it is NONE of the government’s business…….

Another question…..people are so concerned about the life of the unborn….then why once they born most could care less what happens to them?
