An Abortion Rant from Angry-Land

I’m going to rant for a bit because I’m in a bad frickin’ mood, and all the crap I’ve been reading lately regarding abortion is pissing me off. BIG TIME. I think I click on Tag Surfer too much.

I mean it’s the same stuff, of course. I think it’s the authors. They’re men. I know I may piss off some of the guys that are kind enough to read my blog. Well, more than usual. At this point, though, I’m feeling too b*tchy to care.

Why do men who can never get pregnant want to have such a huge say in the lives of those who can? I know, you guys provide the sperm. Thank you. Do you throw up in the morning? Gain the weight? Go through all the hormonal changes? Endure labor and delivery? Nurse?

NO.

Women do. It’s so easy to sit on the sidelines, judge her, and tell her what to do with her body. It’s just as easy to want her to prove she actually miscarried or was raped raped. Or make her have a sonogram. Or make her carry the offspring of a rapist rapist. Or make her carry it even if she will DIE.

You know why it’s so easy? Because you are not the one who will be subjected to any of the above.

I know, you’re speaking for the one who has no voice. But are you even listening to the ones who already have voices?

I’m sorry, but there are times when I want to say, “Until you grow a uterus, kindly STFU.”

Why do women have a say about war? You should STFU when it comes to the wars, Spinny, seeing as though you’re not in the military, never have been, and because your kind doesn’t do combat missions (other than flying a plane through a combat zone). Just STFU, would ya? I don’t care if you hate President Bush or the wars, you have no business talking about it because you’re not the one fighting about it.

    How do you like that?

It’s absurd. Abortion is a human issue, just like war. It’s not a male issue, a female issue, but a human issue. Society is comprised of men and women, and we decide, as a whole people, what we are going to permit and what we’re not going to permit, If you can’t handle that, then STFU. And if you can’t come up with a better pro-choice argument than “you don’t have a uterus, um, errr, duh, duh” then do yourself a favor and……..you guessed it….STFU!

I can understand your anger, but it is misdirected. If you really care about woman’s rights, you would speak out against this: “She’s buried chest high”

What a silly f—ing comment. Women produce the sons that go to war. Are you saying they are mere machines to produce the fodder for wars and any feelings about seeing what they have produced getting destroyed is irrelevant?

Might you have a clue why women have never been more active in wars than they seem to be now? Might it have something to do with a paternalistic culture that forbid women to participate in things like wars and determine that women are unequal when it comes to pay for doing the same jobs men do.

Men have forced the lower status on women by some imaginary right simply by virtue of what? their greater physiological strength? A male God dictated such?

Men or often less intelligent then women because they miss the details of an objective while looking at the bigger picture. Their so-called superior status is conferred on themselves by their own cultural patterns they created themselves; and with the authority of some imaginary male supreme being they have created.

If you can’t handle that, then STFU. And if you can’t come up with a better “men are more suited for wars” argument than “because your kind doesn’t do combat missions”, um, errr, duh, duh” then do yourself a favor and……..you guessed it….STFU!

      Lbwoodgate,

You have officially stopped making sense.

      What a silly f—ing comment.

I was thinking the same thing; albeit, not about my comment.

Women produce the sons that go to war. Are you saying they are mere machines to produce the fodder for wars and any feelings about seeing what they have produced getting destroyed is irrelevant?

And women do that all by themselves, do they? And what about the child in the womb? Do women produce that individual by themselves as well? No? Oh, O.K.

Men do not do the pregnancy and women do not do the fighting, so men shall have no say in abortion just the very hot second women decide they are no longer entitled to an opinion regarding war.

Deal? Seems fair to me. And while we’re on the subject of fairness, why is it women are allowed to decide whether they will become a mother, regardless if they had sex, but men are not? Men are forced into parenting, at least monetarily, by the woman who did not obtain an abortion and did not decide to hand the child over for adoption. Men are not allowed a choice?

I don’t care about the reason women are not allowed to fight. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that, currently, they’re not allowed to fight, so why should they have an opinion? And if women get to play God with someone’s life, men should be allowed to play banker with that same person’s life. If he doesn’t want to pay, he shouldn’t have to pay.

Abortion is not a female issue, seeing as though men are aborted as well. Abortion is also quite damaging to society, and seeing as though men are part of society, they should be allowed an opinion.

But never mind those pesky little things called FACTS. What do people like Spinny say to pro-life women? What ridiculous argument will she use then? And if I’m not entitled to an opinion on abortion, then you’re not either, so STFU — kindly.

I have noticed that: Unthinking liberals only tell pro-life men to shut up; they never bother witht he pro-murder men. Interesting.

You’re right about one thing, Woodgate.

Men or often less intelligent then women because they miss the details of an objective while looking at the bigger picture.

And if no other reason THAN using THEN correctly.

      • Terrance H.

Ignore my insults. I have calmed down a little bit.

It’s true that men fight in war, women generally do not. Whatever the reason, the reality is that men do the fighting, so why should women have a say? Simple: It’s a issue for humanity, not gender.

Liberals talk about unity and breaking the bonds of division. This is good. But what could possibly be more divisive than saying, “You’re gender excludes you from this discussion.”

It’s also true that men are victims of abortion, as well. Men are aborted in the womb, right along with women. But more than that, abortion deprives men of their children. Is this really fair? Some men are more than just donors; they actually care. And I suggest that unless abortion has deprived you of your child, then you cannot possibly understand why men should be entitled to an opinion, notwithstanding free speech laws and other convincing arguments.

It’s also true that seven men made abortion a constitutionally protected right, so if men should indeed have no say, then let’s nullify Roe v. Wade.

The entire post is an ad hominem attack on the pro-life message.

Now that I’m feeling a bit better physically and mentally, I do believe that men should be able to plead their case to the woman they impregnate, whatever the case is – abortion, carrying to term and keeping, carrying to term and adoption. If they can’t agree, however, it is the woman’s decision because it is her body.

Financially speaking, my views are very different from the “norm.” Scenario: The couple doesn’t agree. Man wants abortion. Woman wants to carry to term and keep it.

If that happens, of course, she has the final say. But the man has to sign over his parental rights, and the woman should not expect or receive any child support.

    • Terrance H.

Men should be allowed to plead their case – period. It’s funny that someone who believes there is too much division in the world would harbor views which creates division! “Oh, no! Your gender excludes you from this discussion!”

      How absurd.

The man should have no say in individual cases, in my opinion. Because of the wonderful point you make. What if the man wants an abortion but the woman does not? Nobody should be forced to kill their child. So, I say, leave it up to the woman – while it’s legal. But, hopefully, we’ll come to a point in this society when unborn children are protected, the same as you and me,, thus ending the discussion.

Any man who doesn’t want to take care of his children is a loser; I’ve had custody of my kids since day one!
